can't return the merchandise without original

price tag at Gymboreen. This happened when I tried to return the hat I bought for my daughter two days ago. I have the receipt. But I was told I can't return it since I cut the price tag off . I never heard about this before. Does this happen to anybody here. I am unhappy about that, but seem nothing I can do with it. will never go to their store.
