In this country, you've got two potential problems. If you falsify everything, somebody can sue under defamation. It does not matter you use different names. As long as the plaintiff can convince the court that your material is of and concerning him and causes reputational damage, then you are liable. Assume this is not something about public official like G.W.Bush.
If you are speaking the truth, you will not be liable for defamation. BUT, you can still be held liable for publication of private fact of invasion of privacy, EVEN IF they are all true.
