1. Close your .ppt files, launch the MS powerpoint application, go the recent opened file to open your problematic file. If the file is open, then re-save it to a name different from original file.
2. Launch the window explor, search for the files with the same name, if you can find several, then try to open each one by one. You might accidently save them in different folers, this will help you get your file back.
6MB is a big file, give some time for the file to open. It takes time to loaded images if any.
3. Locate your current .ppt file(the one with 6mb), right mouse click to check the property, uncheck anything which will lock the file. Also read the property statement to see if it says the file is currupted, in this case, there isn't anything you can do.
