Here is my personal experience from last year:
For anything with seeds or fruits (e.g., cucumbers and tomatoes), the more sunshine, the better; for green leaf vegies, partial sun and partial shade is better.
I planted some spinach, lettus and you2cai4 in full sun, they started to seed too early and they didn't taste good.
