You still don't understand my point. Pay more attention to "At certain wheel speed".

We are not comparing acceration at 20mph and 30mph.

What is the function of gear box? To adjust K.
At certain wheel speed, it is to adjust speed_at_engine.
Why? Because we want to maximize force_at_wheel.
How? Adjust where the max hp is as close as possible.
