No. The law, either Chinese or U.S. common law, has no provisions to order L.D.take care of his biological mother. Certainly there are many and unknown reasons why he and his mom have selected for their course of actions so far, and everyone can interpret the reasons in every way possible. However, we all know what conciouseness is about and what a biological blood connection means. Without forgiveness and the warm heart, we all would live in a cold world full of deception and wrongful deeds. I am sure with time both L.D. and his mother will feel the regretfulness of not looking for a sensible solution but in an emotionless court process. Hope all of us visiting this site will make a note of it.
