圣经清清楚楚地显示人类的罪孽， for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God （Romans 3:23）。 美国， 这号称世界最好国家，天天上演种族歧视，毒品，枪支，非法移民，强奸，杀人，谎言， 欺骗等等。人都是一个德行！人类需要拯救。 耶稣（救赎主）的到来，血洗人的罪恶，使人与神调和。 没有血， 就没有神的宽恕。 旧约中的各种祭司活动很多围绕献祭各种无暇疵的牲畜。 由血祭天也是古代中国人的一种习俗， 去北京天坛看看就知道了。
我们是人类不是牲畜。 无暇疵的耶稣道成肉身。 替人类献祭。 他在十字架死前说的一句话 ： "It is finished." With that, he bowed his head and gave up his spirit (John 19:30). 他对人类的救赎通过他的血成就了 -- it is finished。
圣经之所以令人欲罢不能就是它的 bloody honesty, it does not sugarcoat.
