• AIME floor: Before 2020, approximately the top 2.5% of scores on the AMC 10 and the top 5% of scores on the AMC 12 were invited to participate in AIME. Since 2020, the AIME floor has been set to a higher percentage of scores, possibly to allow a consistent number of AIME qualifiers, rather than a fixed percentage. Usually, the top 7000 competitors are qualified for the AIME.
