费用两部分，一是医院的(场地费)，一是医生的(服务费).

How to reduce the bill?

- Check the service code. Often the insurance company has a discount on a service (based on code) off the sticker price. The discount can be substantial (>50% off).

- Argue with the hospital or doctor's office. This rarely works for middle class family because they know you CAN afford based on your employee insurance plan. 

- Ask for lump-sum pay discount.
