大学GPA的影响

一女孩大学里有了男朋友，俩人专业不同。那一年女孩子成绩一下子掉下来了，学校竞争很大，GPA不好该专业工作好机会就小很多了。父母着急，女孩本是好学生，自己也着急，第二年读书刻苦多了。一年下来，成绩大幅回升，但和男朋友玩的时间少了，男朋友跑了，和另一女生翘了好上了。

这位男生这样做应不应该觉得内疚？后来陆陆续续还听到一些类似的事情。
