There is no need for signing any paper if they didn't ask for anything. Signing paper is needed only after an extensive barganing.
(1) who pays for the termite treatment?
(2) If they say they'll find hotel, you can offer waiving the rent for those few days. If they accept it, no more discussion is needed, it's gentleman's agreement. Landlord has no responsibility to find alternative housing for tenants.
(3) No need to worry about health risk, as long as you excercise due dillgence in finding a qualified/certified treatment company. It's the company's responsibility to ensure health saftey.
