Help for the travel from LA to Yosemite

I am planning a 3 days travel from LA to Yosemite and Sequoia, Please help me for the following questions:

1) WHere should I stay in Yosemite or nearby?
2) Do I have enough time to visit Sequoia?
3) How to reasonablely separate the 3 days into two parks?
4) Where should I stay nearby Sequoia?
