If full frame camera in your mind?

If yes, then choose 24-70 or 24-105 is a good choice. Both are sharp. 24-70 gives you larger aperture, and 24-105 gives you more zoom. If you have a full frame camera, 24-105 would be a very good choice.

If you want to stay on 1.6x crop camera, then, 17-55mm f/2.8 IS makes more sense.
