you can take hotel shuttle to EWR, than take airport link train from any terminal to last stop, NJ Transit Stattion at EWR, then buy a two way tickets from EWR to NY Penn stattion becaue it is cheaper unless you will take taxi back from the city. after all, youcan relax, by the time of reaching final station, it is right off the Penn stattion, then enjoy your NYC staying.
