原创笑话 I am his mate.

At beginning years as a student, I shared an apartment with a Chinese couple. The girl’s English is so so, but she studied hard for taking TOFLE test.

You know everyday; there were always a lot of annoying sales calls. All those calls were asking for his hu*****and. When she told them she was his wife and they kept talking. She felt so impolite to hand up the calls. So I taught her one trick. I told her to tell them she was his 佣人, they would hang up the calls themselves. She asked how to say佣人. I was happily teaching her that 佣人 was “maid”.

Later, the phone rang, she picked up. She said slowly but clearly that: “He is not here, I am his mate.”

I was stunned.

She raised her voice and said loudly again with some angry tone, “I am his mate!” She hanged up the phone and turned to me saying, “你这招不灵！”

She returned to her bedroom leaving me wondering myself. I realized she was right. She was his wife, so was his mate! I was so wrong:)
