临时抱佛脚，决定把kindle app上的free popular classic英文读物都读一遍（有些作品中文的咱在国内小时候就读过了），请问大侠们这样是否会对英文写作有帮助？我的提高英文写作的目的是写博士论文。

This depends on your major.  If your specialty is in science or engineering, you may want to study scientific or technical writings.  You can go ahead to read the classics and after a while, you will see if the readings help with your thesis writing.
