I think the New E-C dictionary is the most authentic to quote from, the others are much lesser reliable, as one can see the poor situation in this area in China.
The E-C Dic. defines as this:
snow job: (to newly acquaintances,bosses, employers/or clients) make a wild boast about oneself.
Is there any identity of that deceit with boast?
They are not synonyms at all.
