Americans seem to respond positively to outward praises, even those with a sexual
undertone, like "you look like a whole meal/snack." In a video, as they passed
each other, the guy ascending on an escalator slipped a card into the hands of
one of two young ladies on their way down. It read "Girl, you should sell
hotdogs! You already know how to make a wiener stand" followed by a smiley. The
chick cracked up!
In Beijing, in my time there anyway, such flirting would be sexual harassment.
