Most seem to dislike AQWAQ, now or in Socrates's days.                         

 

Demanding a straight answer, however, can be seen as trying to dominate, with a

hidden threat and especially from the temporarily more powerful. It's a pity

English doesn't differentiate arrogance toward the little guy or the higher-ups.

 

And there are cases where indeed more thoughts should be given to the question.

The intention of the answerer should be obvious from non-verbal cues.
