Better late than never
MEANING It’s better to finish something late than to never do it at all
EXAMPLE “Hello, Mr. Jameson. Here is my final essay. Better late than never, right?”

 

Phrase

Stop by, Drop by

"to stop by" - just to visit a place (may be for an extended period of time, but usually a short stop). "to drop by" - on a way of travelling, briefly visit some place.
