海景屋里的感恩节 This year Thanksgiving falls on the 28th of November, which is the last possible date of the holiday. I pay special attention to the dates because we have two turkey babies in the family. My hu*****and was born on thanksgiving day, my mother-in-law still talks about how the turkey was in the oven and she had to rush to the hospital and missed the feast. My son was born two days before thanksgiving, it is fair to say that his first feast was Thanksgiving dinner. Any one with a Nov 22-28th birthday are called turkey babies, they all have a chance to celebrate with double delight: birthday on Thanksgiving. 感恩节这些天，一起到公婆海滨别墅去过节，十八口人同在一个屋檐下，有的高谈阔论，有的低头看书，有的玩牌，有的打盹，有的去海滨放风玩耍，也总有人在厨房里团团转地忙碌。可以理解婆婆为了这七个孙子孙女付出的心血。 周二我家大火鸡先把小火鸡接回家，因为他俩生日都在感恩节这几天，我呢，自己烤了火鸡，迎大宝到家，与姥姥一起过节。周四开车去海滨房，跟爷爷奶奶过节，路上有些堵车，想起感恩节回家路那部电影『planes, trains, automobiles』，这是全国最多车在路上的一天，每个人都为了那团圆的晚宴，不遗余力往家赶。 The beach house is located in a small town north of San Francisco. This part of the country is the hidden jewel of California. 海滨屋座落于旧金山以北,这一片海岸可以说是加州隐藏的珍珠。保留着大自然最原始的美丽。小镇常驻人口只有两百人，大多数人家的度假屋都是周末和节假日才被占领。从海景屋望去，瑞丝岬角绵延入海，在半岛的另一端，是著名的瑞丝灯塔，也是美国西海岸风力最强劲的地方。 如果从旧金山金门大桥出发，到瑞丝小镇只有35迈的距离，距闹市不远，就有这样悠闲静谧的地方，风吹草低见牛羊。这里海产丰富，沿途有很多别具一格的餐馆，我们虽然大都在海景屋自己做饭，偶尔也去享受一下附近的特产。 夕阳里的剪影 笨笨也迫不及待地等着感恩节大餐 His name is Benito, I shortened it to Ben Ben, everyone loved it, then I told them the meaning in Chinese, they laughed and said, "It suits him well, he does silly things all the time!" 海景屋阳台上的日落。在烤箱里烤一只大火鸡，阳台上炸一只火鸡的时候，夕阳西下，映在海面上，斑驳的金光。 雪儿帮助摆桌子 与火鸡配套的传统食品：蔓越梅酱，苹果酱，红薯，面包，填料（stuffings），土豆泥，培根炒球芽甘蓝（brussel sprouts），小豆角洋葱焙盘（greenbean casserole），玉米面填料焙盘（corn meal stuffing)，主角是火鸡 上图：一只23磅的火鸡是传统方式烤的 下图：另一只12磅的小火鸡用新买的转式方锅在阳台炸一下，色泽金黄 孩子们一起玩牌，墙上是爷爷的画作和北欧运回来的帆船。 雪儿和表妹们 第三天是周六，给大宝和堂弟一起过生日 Traditional thanksgiving desserts: pumpkin pie, pecan pie and apple pie 传统感恩节甜品：南瓜派，胡桃派和苹果派，婆婆和好友帕西拉一共做了六个 窗外海景，很多年前没有前面那个房子，景色更开阔些，能看到180度。远处的岬角是瑞丝岬角point Reyes ，海角天涯近在眼前。 望海的铜狗，它是否有和忠犬八公一样的故事？ Hachiko: a dog's tale 海滨小镇也有迎客松 在我们住的街角不远处来了很多老牛 这户邻居家象是一座灯塔, a lighthouse look a like house 十一月底的加州海岸温暖如春，岸上我们只穿一件单衣，孩子们也不怕水凉 水面如镜，雪儿换上bodysuit for surfing 雪儿和表妹玩冲浪,surfing USA 沙滩上毛茸茸的小狗,cute fuzzy dog on the beach 大宝enjoys the sunshine Beachhouses on the cliff 相关链接 点击看感恩的季节感谢有你 点击看感恩节火鸡提前出炉了 点击看海滨房过感恩节
