Why does Succumb(毁灭) contain S-u-c-cumb----(毁灭)?

潘光旦先生“三S”求生经验——“Surrender(投降)、Submit(屈从)、Survive(生存)”，最后发现想做屈从的奴隶也没法活命的时候，他又补 上“一个S”——“Succumb(毁灭)”。
