66. Trivial Perfection

In one episode of the TV series we're watching these days, a brilliant young man is given a minor task that he way overqualifies. His supervisor clearly has some other agenda in mind when he gives him the assignment. To me, the disturbing part is that, while initially the young man hesitates whether to work on it or not, eventually he becomes so attached to this trivial task that he spends a lot of time to nail it. This makes me think: Am I also attached to and trying to do a perfect job in some trivial tasks?
