everything is 因人而异！...not everyone in U.S. becomes Bill Gates, not evereyong girl in Deng's situation achieves what she has done, heck...even in China, there are tons of billinares today....if you are capable, you can succeed anywhere...

so, your argument is not exactly a good counter point of "回美会落后于起跑线什么的"...because people achieves no matter where or what...落后于起跑线 is a fact...it affects your chance of succeed, not does not determin if you can succeed or not..

But from a parent's aspect, as least, in my case, I would want to maximize my child's chance of winning, as to IF he could actually win...well, that's not my problem any more..

Whenever people uses those examples like Deng, Yang of Yahoo, or Bill Gates...I want to laugh...because statistically, they means nothing..
