请问老猫和其他懂法律的我该怎么解决离婚的问题吧。

我是两年前终于决定离开我的具有暴力性的丈夫。当时申请了restraining order,由于他违反了restraining order, 被警察抓了起来但是在下一次出庭的时候没有到庭，因此法庭给了他一个banch warrant。问题是从此我便不知道他人在哪里。为妇女避难中心工作的律师告诉我我必须知道他住在哪，否则就不可能办成离婚。现在已经过去两年了，我还是不知道他在哪。请问老猫和其他懂法律的人事，我该怎么办啊？我现在终于可以坚强地面对生活了，可是我应该怎么做才可以至少在法律上结束这个梦魇啊？我在纽约州。谢谢你们。
