向法律专业人士请教关于搬走租户用我们地址申请公司，银行支票

房子在我们自住之前出租一段时间，现发现租户在已经搬离我家后仍然用我们地址申请公司，银行支票。政府的文件标明公司的时间。

我目前不知道租户住哪里，我们没有联系。我是否要告诉政府他不住在这里，以后有什么事情与我们无关。

我主要是怕以后有什么麻烦。请教专业人士指点。非常感谢每个回复！
