1. construction bond / surety bond, in case the contractor went bankcrupted or died, insurance company pay you back the project fund or hire someone to finish the job.
2. business liability insurance, in case the contractor burned down your house or caused damage to other's life/property
3. worker's comp, in case contractor's employee got hurt on the job site.
