1. 老板写推荐信 is enough. Get u boss support is step 1.
2.不请律师可以. 单位要求请律师. Why? 自己办行. Do it by yourself. You are more clever and you know more than lawyer in your case.
3.推荐信一般要3-7封. Officer in USCIS has no time to see almost same things. The most important is what you got, now. Papers, Books, Funds, Awards, Patents,membership,Citations, etc. See USCIS.gov. You can get answers by "how to apply GC?".
4. U need reference letter's templates and the list for EB1-OR. Or you can ask someone who had apply it by themself. Evident should be true and listed. Translation and public notary for original document are necessary. Never send original document.
