老师，

朋友父亲因疫情在美国旅游签证滞留，朋友是绿卡，想申请公民后给父亲直接在境内申请绿卡。

请问在境内给父亲申请绿卡，一定需要提供父亲在国内的无犯罪记录证明吗?

-No. Your friend's father does not need to provde this dicoument for application for green card (I-485 filing) within US.

如果提供不了，是否影响申请？

如果最终回国给父亲申请绿卡，走使馆程序，是否一定需要提供无犯罪记录证明，否则绿卡申请会失败？

-Yes, if applying for the immigrant visa in the US Consulate in Guangzhou, China, your friend's father needs to provide the 无犯罪记录证明.
