Big Trouble with F1 transfer

Can I transfer to another school during my OPT grace period without the new SEVIS I20 rom old school? I was not informed by my old school about changing the new I20 and failed to do so before the deadline (8/1/03). I am wondering whether I could transfer to another school without troubles? Right now, I am on H1 pending. Want to keep my F1 status just in case if my H1 application is rejected.

Any ideas???????????
