a friend just IMed me saying that she, an H1B holder, earned some $$ by renting out a bedroom in her condo, and later claimed the $$ in her income return filing in 2002. will the income from source other than her employer be ok? i have no clue as to give her any useful answer. so i hope somebody here could provide his/her knowledge.
