-- MILD CHRONIC GASTRITIS

-- NO HELICOBACTER ORGANISMS PRESENT ON IMMUNOHISTOCHEMICAL STAIN
 

B. STOMACH, ANTRUM (NODULE), BIOPSY

-- INTESTINAL METAPLASIA WITH SUPERFICIAL EROSION AND INDEFINITE CHANGES (SEE COMMENT)
 

C. STOMACH, BODY, BIOPSY

-- GASTRIC MUCOSA WITH NO SIGNIFICANT ABNORMALITY

 

COMMENT: Histologic sections of the antrum nodule (part B) show gastric mucosa with intestinal metaplasia in a background of reactive gastropathy. Clinical follow up to monitor the lesion is suggested.
