39% of Harvard alumni have founded for-profit or nonprofit ventures, totaling over 146000 organizations operating in more than 150 countries. Created over 20.4 million jobs globally. Collectively, these allumni-founded organizations generated nearly $3.9 trillion in anual revenue, surpassing the GDP of many countries.

Just checked the updated info. In fiscal year 2024, Harvard attracted over $1 billion in research funding to Massachusetts, fueling advancements in science and medicine.  The Harvard Innovation Labs have incubated more than 4000 teams and early-stage companies, collectively raising over $7 billion in funding.

Harvard boasts 8 U.S. presidents, numerous Nobel laureates, Pulizer Prize winners, and leaders across various fields.

Harvard was founded on Octover 28, 1636.  The US federal government was founded on March 4, 1789.
