Usually it is 3 or 4 layers:
1. a little sauce or cheese: pesto, marinara, any spreadable cheese or any other sauce you like as long as it is not too runny.
2. a little protein. Seriously, any protein: sausage, roasted chicken, smoked salmon, sardin, and list goes on and on.
3. a little veggies or fruits. Again, any veggies or fruits will do as long as they do have a lot of juice: roasted vegetables, sliced fruits, mushrooms, ...
4. a little garnish, such as chopped herbs, roasted garlic, parmigiana shavings, ...
You just need to pick up things from each category to go with each other and make your unique combination. Just search for "crostini recipes" and get some more inspirations. I found a couple for your reference:
