At that time all notebooks using Nvidia chip got the problems. All motherboard using that batch of capacity got problem regardless which brand of the computers.
My Dell D630 got problem after 2.5 years, my friend Thinkpad T61 got problem.
My D630 motherboard was replaced by Dell for free because 4 years warranty(1 year extra due to Nvidia problem).
