Yesterday, I was doing exactly the same thing as shown in the article,and yet with no luck of fixing the problem.
My laptop is running windows 7 home premium, 64-bit, with 4G memory installed.
On the Boot Advanced Options window, I checked and chose 2 for the Number of processors. And I checked Maximum memory amd it showed 4096. But when I closed this window and I clicked the Advanced options button on the system configuration window, the Boot Advanced Options window showed again my maximum memory is 0. Nothing changed!
Whether the number of processor is 1 or 2, problem remains the same.
