I have been running a server at home for many years. I use Fedora Linux to run dhcpd, named, iptables, mysql, apache,squid, openvpn, ntpd, smb,nmd,postfix, dovcot,sftp, tftp, asterisk pbx.....I also have windows server 2008 as a vm.
