中文为啥没有从句呀？

我一直搞不懂，为啥中文说了几千年就没有发展出一个像定语从句的这样的结构呢？

到现在，从句结构的翻译都是很别扭的，特别是在做同声传译的时候，人家后面的从句，有可能把主句的意思完全反过来，真让人头疼。
