I went there in 1981, miserable. 7 men assigned a bed, water and food was expensive hard to seek. I was young at the time so I could handle any thing. But the hardship still made me decide that this was 'once of lifetime deal'. The 60-li narrow path to the top was filled with aged pilgrims who kept pouring oil into each temple's buckets. I felt that oil probably costed them many days of hard work at field. Unforgetable. It was during summer vacation and I was a student at Chuan-Da.
Also went to ChingChen Shan. Was beautiful and quite, especailly when comparing to ErMei.
Things changed tremendously, I was told and guess. I would not hesitate to visit there again.
Sorry that I could not write in Chinses. My PC is Window 2000 and does not have a Chinese software installed.
