i think you should think it twice before taking the teaching position. if this is not the kind of work you like, you may regret in the future. this may add cloud to your future relationship with your wife. as you said, your company allow you to work from home one week for each months, i think this is good. some distance could add sweetness to relationship. but of course, if you have kids, then you need to think about that as well
