While Gu’s third medal is newly casted, let’s try to melt it with a world starting to be one OF the Zoomers, BY the Zoomers, and FOR the Zoomers. Anyone who doesn’t understand this will be soon skullified, or dead before the die. You, and I, will be of yore in 5 years — when the earliest Zoomers turn 30.

谷爱凌就是个Zoomer

谷爱凌在拿到第一块金牌大跳台的时候，一名记者提问：One thing we are still trying to verify, are you still a US citizen? Or how’s that works? 奥运的政治性很强。但小姑娘的回答却很普适：Sport is to united people, it does not have to do with nationality and it is not something used to divide people。

另一名记者继续追问：But, you are not clear if you are still a US citizen, or if you live in China or live in US from now on? 分裂时代的政治，要能坚持把对方挤到墙角才好。小姑娘的回答更直率，I am fluent in both languages and culturally. I just feel I am just as American as I am Chinese。

这个直接的回答，也没有让记者们满意。另一个记者继续挑衅：Particularly you’ve got a lot of criticism on social media, from American side to your comments。这问题，够激怒外交部发言人了吧。但小姑娘却以守为攻：I am just an 18-year-old girl trying to live the best of my life. If you don’t like me, it’s your loss。
