11月3日上午10点正,美国亚洲文化学院艺术中心和马里兰大学戏剧与舞蹈学院共同在马里兰大学为美国国家民俗中心共同举办记录性交流表演专场,地点为学院表演艺术中心实验剧场,(Clarice Smith Center University of Maryland,College Park, MD 20742-1625)。
11月4日晚6时30分,美国亚洲文化学院和哥伦比亚大学共同举办黄梅戏纽约全场演出,地点选择在哥伦比亚大学校区内最美的(Cowin Auditorium)剧场,( Horace Mann 147, Teachers College, Columbia University)525 West 120th Street, New York, NY 10027。大纽约地区的戏剧爱好者、哥大师生、驻纽约总领馆和驻联合国使团的外交人员均受邀出席。
2010年11月5日晚上7点30分,耶鲁大学中国学生学者联合会和美国亚洲文化学院艺术中心在耶鲁校园巍峨堂皇的Woolsey Hall音乐大厅(500 College St., New Haven, CT, 06511)共同举办中国黄梅戏剧艺术家美国东部的最后一场黄梅戏全场献演。
而相同时刻在国会山上巍丽堂皇的Jefferson 大楼里,却演绎着另一场引人瞩目的艺术经典。灿烂多姿的中国黄梅戏剧文化和历史在国会图书馆开出硕果,一个展现传统和现代、戏剧和音乐的中国文化艺术活动在国会山举办。中国著名黄梅戏表演艺术家、中国戏剧家协会副主席韩再芬女士,应美国国会图书馆、美国亚洲文化学院和美国国家民俗中心的共同邀请,走上了被誉为人类文明和智慧的殿堂---国会图书馆讲坛,作题为《"Huangmei Opera Art in China" 百年黄梅戏:从传统走向现代的戏剧》的精彩学术报告,获得了与会者的高度评价。

I am delighted to inform you that, upon the recommendation of U.S. Asian Culture Academy (UACA) and the approval of Asian Culture Preservation Board, the American Folklife Center and the Asian Division at the Library of Congress have decided to introduce the Huangmei Opera, which you will present at the Library, to the American people. This project, called Documenting Today for Tomorrow by UACA, confers such an honor upon only a few outstanding artists who promote the traditions they represent. Congratulations!
The Asian Division at the Library of Congress will send out an official invitation to assist you with visa application. On November 1st, Washington audience will watch your performance demonstration at the Coolidge Auditorium at Library of Congress. On November 2nd, we look forward to your talk on the Huangmei Opera. Following that, you will be interviewed by me in Chinese. This interview will be acquired by the Archive of the American Folklife Center. We will present you with certificates.
The U.S. Asian Culture Academy will be responsible for and coordinate all preparatory activities (including trip-planning, financial arrangement, application of travel documents and purchase of travel insurance) prior to your visit, as well as those during your stay (including the performance, seminars/presentations, university visits and the documentary interview). We would like to invite you and your delegation to visit the Library of Congress for a presentation“Huangmei Opera Art in China”at the ceremony of collection and preservation on Nov. 2, 2010. Our audience will have a chance to learn more about the endeavors and achievements in this field of which the leading role is Ms. Han Zaifen who will also be interviewed and give a lecture in the American Folklife Centre of the Library of Congress and perform for archive on Nov. 1, 2010 at Coolidge Auditorium, in the Jefferson Building of the Library of Congress.
We also understand that your delegation will also have a series of performances and exchange activities with US Asian Culture Academy and the University of Maryland. Meanwhile you will also pay a visit to the city of Calabasas, California, the sister-city of Anqing, and present the Huangmei Opera art there.
So the whole trip will be lasting for about 12 days in the USA. As we know, all the expenses of the delegation will be born by yourselves except for Ms. Han Zaifen whose expenses including meals, accommodation, transportation,medical insurance incurred in Washington.D.C and part of the international flight fare will be paid by the US Asian Cultural Academy.

After the seminar, we will arrange the delegation to visit the Department of Theater, University of Maryland for exchange activity.
