Chinese only know how to compete, but are clueless in helping others.
I worked with many Chinese who are very smart and capable, but I've yet to meeting a single one that knows how to help others to grow, technically or managerially. On one hand,Chinese turn to be very tough on others that are not as good. If others are better, Chinese often become very competitive. As a result, Chinese are not viewed a leader material.
On top of that, Chinese are often bad in communication. The Chinese way is often too confrontational. I don't know if it is a language issue, or Chinese generally just look down upon anyone who is not as good. In either case, it is not a pleasant experience to deal a Chinese manager who is often overly critical.
I think Chinese don't know how to help others.
