If the carrier bearing or U-joints fail, the entire assembly often needs replacement. An OEM (Toyota original) part alone can cost $900 to $1,200 CAD, plus 2 to 3 hours of labor. If this is a brand-new Toyota OEM part, the price is fair. If it is an aftermarket part, it is overpriced.
