Hockessin Woman Killed in Two Vehicle Crash on Lancaster Pike Friday Night

A 22-year-old Hockessin woman is dead this morning after her car collided with another vehicle on Lancaster Pike last night near Wilmington.

Delaware State Police say Jessica Richey was eastbound on Lancaster Pike when her 2004 Honda Accord crossed the center line and sideswiped a 2005 BMW X3 being driven by 58-year-old Jeanette DeBright of Wilmington. The impact caused Richey’s car to split in half; she was ejected and pronounced dead at the scene. A passenger in her car along with DeBright, and two passengers in her car, a 6-year-old boy and a 53-year-old Wilmington woman all sustained injuries in the crash.
