My daughter was in the same situation.  She majored in Biomedical Engineering in freshman year.  But after she took a computer programming class in freshman year and got an A for this class,  she changed to computer science major.  She is a sophomore now and is also a teaching assistant for that computer programming class.  Her professor actually pays her for been a TA.
