i watched this Macedonian movie last night:

"Before the rain" (1994) with english subtitle.

It's about Bosnian war, how the Macedonians and Albanians were killing each other, and how little the UN troops did for peace keeping other than taking pictures, then "have a good fight" and left.

Macedonians and Albanians used to live in same villages, and kids went to the same schools before the war.

BTW, the movie also mentioned a huge battle in history, in which Byzantines captured thousands of Macedonian soldiers and took their eyes away. When the Macedonian leader saw his blind soldiers, he had a heart attack and died. I didn't check the history book about this, but it's an amazing story.
