new in the market, has to ask you a question

like to read your posts, giving lots of  insights and education, not just "Guanshui".

I entered the market quite late, in march 2017 so I missed the big move from January.  While late is better than never, LOL.  But I am always wondering what is the right approach to take given the current market status. Should I held the position and only sell when the price reached the increase of 20%-40% or kind of sell on the way up and buy the dip at the same time on the way up?

Should I just buy NQ future contracts and wait the increase for another 2000 points? (Maybe this is the gambling? and will see grandma soon?)
