Pier 16 is for tourists. Peking ship is docked there, but was retired in 1975. It's now more like a maritime museum. You can go for a date there. :)
Pier 11 is for commuters. When I said "I'll buy you a piece of Napoleon cake then walk you down to Pier 11", I was implying that I would send you off without a date. (有点不厚道) . Simply a joke. Don't take it seriously. :)
