五个小学生因计划炸新泽西一所高中被捕

Police have detained five New Jersey fifth-graders for allegedly plotting to attack a high school during a field trip. The students, who attend the kindergarten to fifth grade School 11 in Clifton, were detained on Wednesday. Police say they brought a device to school and were planning on using it during a field trip to Clifton High School. 

The device was later determined to be non-explosive, however investigators say the incident was not a prank

Authorities say the students were caught when teachers and administrators found written plans on how the alleged attack would occur.  The school then contacted police. The students were released into their parents' custody later Wednesday. 

They were all between the ages of 10 and 11 years old, but have not been named due to their ages.

All five have been suspended.  No criminal charges have been filed at this point. The investigation is ongoing.
